show cause why the proposed enforcement action should not be taken. <br /> The notice of the meeting shall be served personally or by re�istered or <br /> certified mail (return rece�t requested�at least ten (10) days prior to the <br /> hearin� Such notice may be served on any Authorized Representative of <br /> the User as defined in Division 1, Section 17-5.1 of this Article and <br /> required by Subsection (,�)(5) "Si�natories and Certifications" of Section <br /> 17-10 of this Division 3. A show cause hearin� shall not be a bar a�ainst, <br /> or prerequisite for, takin� any other action a�ainst the User. <br /> � Compliance Orders <br /> When the Director finds that a User has violated, or continues to violate, <br /> an�provision of this ordinance an individual wastewater dischar�e <br /> permit or order issued hereunder or anv other Pretreatment Standard or <br /> Requirement the Director may issue an order to the User responsible for <br /> the dischar�e directin� that the User come into compliance within a <br /> specified time If the User does not come into com�liance within the time <br /> provided sewer service m� be discontinued unless adequate treatment <br /> facilities devices or other related appurtenances are installed and properlv <br /> �erated Compliance orders also may contain other requirements to <br /> , address the noncompliance includin� additional self-monitorin� and <br /> mana e�ment practices desi�ned to minimize the amount of pollutants <br /> discharged to the sewer. A compliance order mav not extend the deadline <br /> for compliance established for a Pretreatment Standard or Requirement, <br /> nor does a compliance order relieve the User of liabilit f�anv violation, <br /> including any continuin� violation. Issuance of a compliance order shall <br /> not be a bar a�ainst or a prerequisite for, taking any other action a�ainst <br /> the User. <br /> � Cease and Desist Orders <br /> When the Director finds that a User has violated, or continues to violate, <br /> an�provision of this ordinance an individual wastewater dischar�e <br /> permit or order issued hereunder, or anv other Pretreatment Standard or <br /> Requirement, or that the User's past violations are likely to recur, the <br /> Director may issue an order to the User directin� it to cease and desist all <br /> such violations and directing the User to: <br /> � Immediately complv with all requirements; and <br /> ii Take such appropriate remedial or preventive action as may be <br /> needed to properly address a continuin� or threatened violation, <br /> including haltin�perations and/or terminatin� the discharge. <br /> 70 <br />
