At that meeting, City Administration, <br /> presented to Council Committee members, the city plan for establishment of a graffiti removal team, <br /> under the supervision of the Parks & Recreation Division, as well as the procedural concept to be used <br /> within the city units for identification, communication and removal actions of graffiti on public and private <br /> property within the city. <br /> As discussed at the Committee meeting, City Administration has defined the financial start-up cost and <br /> proposed 2011 operational costs for the creation of a graffiti removal team. <br /> As the 2011 city budget adopted by Council in October, 2010, does not contemplate the costs associated <br /> with the creation and operation of a graffiti removal team, it is therefore necessary to request Council <br /> consideration for the approval of additional monies in the Parks 8� Recreation Fund 201, to provide the <br /> defined resources to affect Council required graffiti removal activities within City operations. <br /> The bill presented herewith, will appropriate $177,000, within the Parks & Recreation Fund 201, for the <br /> purpose of funding necessary start-up costs and operational costs in fiscal 2011.
