Communication from Community Animal <br /> Rescue Effort(CARE) <br /> Mr. Inks noted that the Commission received the <br /> following letter from CARE in support of funding <br /> the additional expenses for the animal shelter. <br /> May 24, 2011 <br /> Dear Ms. Jones, Dr. Varner and members of the <br /> South Bend Redevelopment Commission: <br /> I am writing to express my support of the request <br /> for an additional$300,000 from the Airport <br /> Economic TIF Fund for the construction of the new <br /> South Bend Animal Care and Control(SBA CC) <br /> facility. <br /> Every year, the staff at the SBACC Shelter <br /> manages over 4,000 animals. The officers, who <br /> are available 2417, 365 days of the year, do their <br /> best to answer all calls regarding stray animals, <br /> lost animals, abused animals and neglected <br /> 7 <br />
