November 27, 2006 PARC Committee Minutes
Page 2
Dr. Varner noted that he is troubled by the request of the Mayor far such an
endorsement when the Council had absolutely no input into the proposed Interim
Agreement. He suggested that there should be caps included.
Council Member Dieter voiced support of the resolution, but encouraged more meetings
on this topic.
Council Member Pfeifer noted that for the past six (6} weeks they have had good
discussions through the Personnel and Finance Committee on the Hall. She is very
supportive of the Hall being successful in South Bend. All items involving dollars for the
Hall would have continued discussions.
Council Member White noted that she agrees with the comments made by Council
Members Dieter and Pfeifer. She appreciated the ongoing process through the
Personnel and Finance Committee.
Council Member Kelly stated that the Halk of Fame does a lot for the South Bend
community.
Council President Rouse emphasized the last two (2} sentences of Mayor Luecke's
letter of November 21, 2006 which emphasizes "working collectively together".
Council Member Kirsits then made a motion, seconded by Council Member Puzzello
that Bill No. 06-131 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Dieter
adjourned the Com 'tee mee ' a 5:23
f
Respectfully subm
Council Member Derek D.
