November 27, 2006 Public Works and Property Vacation Committee Meeting Minutes <br />Page 2 <br />[n response to a question from Council Member Pfeifer, Mr. Meyer stated that the <br />bricks on Luther Court will not be thrown away. <br />In response to a question from Council President Rouse, Mr. Meyer stated that <br />there will be proper signage in the garage when traffic will be restricted to going <br />one way during peak hours. <br />Council Member Puzzello commended all of the representatives of the South <br />Bend Clinic far keeping her and all of the residents in the area informed every <br />step of the way on the expansion project. <br />Public Works Director Gary Gilot, Executive Director of the Department of <br />Community and Economic Development Department Sharon Kendall, Phil Byrd, <br />and Jennifer Laurent spoke in favor of the proposed vacations noting that this is <br />a "great project and a great investment" for the City of South Bend. <br />In response to a question from Council President Rouse, it was Hated that the <br />walking path along Frances Street will need to use the parking lot to some <br />degree. <br />Council Member Puzzello made a motion, seconded by Council Member Dieter <br />that Bill Nos. 80-06 and 83-06 be recommended favorably to Council.
