Exhibit "A" <br />Project Scope <br />And <br />Budget <br />Scope of Work: The Board of Public Works, acting on behalf of the <br />Redevelopment Commission per the proposed Agency Agreement, will develop <br />bid specifications for the projects listed above. The Board of Public Works will <br />consult with representatives of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission for <br />approval of bidding specifications. <br />This Project includes asbestos abatement, demolition and disposal of on -site structures <br />and utilities, environmental remediation, excavation and disposal of below -grade <br />improvements, backfill, compaction, and site restoration within the demolition excavation <br />limits established within the Contract for the properties commonly known as <br />Underground Pipe & Valve (former Studebaker Foundry) and SASCO (former <br />Studebaker Engineering Building). The former Studebaker Foundry and Engineering <br />Building are located in an industrial area southwest of downtown South Bend, Indiana in <br />what is commonly known as the "Studebaker Corridor ". The former Studebaker Foundry <br />consists of approximately 580,000 square feet of former industrial space that is situated <br />on a 19 acre parcel. The former Studebaker Engineering Building consists of <br />approximately 210,000 square feet of former industrial space that is situated on a 4 acre <br />parcel. The Project is located at: <br />a. Former Studebaker Engineering Building, 410 W. Sample Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />b. Former Studebaker Foundry, 1100 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana <br />Budget: The anticipated budget for the Studebaker Demolition — Phase IV is <br />$5,000,000. This amount has been budgeted and allocated for this project. <br />U <br />
