<br />REGULAR MEETINGAUGUST 8, 2005 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in <br />the Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 7:00 <br />p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Charlotte D. Talboom Deputy City Clerk <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub-committee has inspected <br />the minutes of the July 25, 2005, meeting of the Council and found them to be correct. <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br /> s/Charlotte D. Pfeifer <br /> s/David Varner <br />Councilmember Kelly made a motion that the minutes of the July 25, 2005, meeting of <br />the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion <br />which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />BILL NO. 05-96 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> DESIGNATING AND ESTABLISHING 401 <br /> EAST INDIANA AVENUE AN HISTORICALLY <br /> SIGNIFICANT BUILDING <br />Councilmember White made a motion to continue this bill until the end of the Council <br />Meeting, due to the lack of a presenter at this time. Councilmember Kuspa seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPOINTMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION <br />Councilmember Puzzello announced the appointment of Mr. William Hojnacki to the <br />Redevelopment Commission. <br />ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPOINTMENT TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION <br />Councilmember Varner announced the appointment of Mr. Todd Zeiger to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission. <br />1 <br /> <br />
