<br />REGULAR MEETINGMAY 23, 2005 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the <br />Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. The <br />meeting was called to order by Council President Charlotte D. Talboom Deputy City Clerk <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub-committee has inspected the <br />minutes of the May 9, 2005, meeting of the Council and found them to be correct. <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br /> s/Charlotte D. Pfeifer <br /> s/David Varner <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion that the minutes of the April 25, 2005, meeting of the <br />Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Kuspa seconded the motion which <br />carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />BILL NO. 05-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> PUBLICLY COMMENDING ELMER CARR FOR <br /> HIS MORE THAN SIXTEEN (16) YEARS OF <br /> FAITHFUL AND DILIGENT SERVICE ON THE <br /> CITY’S BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Councilmember Varner made a motion to continue this bill until the June 13, 2005 meeting of <br />the Council, due to Mr. Carr not being able to attend this evenings meeting. Councilmember <br />Kuspa seconded the motion which carried. <br />1 <br /> <br />
