<br />REGULAR MEETINGMARCH 14, 2005 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in <br />the Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 7:00 <br />p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Charlotte D. Talboom Deputy City Clerk <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub-committee has inspected <br />the minutes of the February 28, 2005, meeting of the Council and found them to be <br />correct. <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br /> s/Charlotte D. Pfeifer <br /> s/David Varner <br />Councilmember Kelly made a motion that the minutes of the February 28, 2005, meeting <br />of the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Varner seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3427-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA, PUBLICLY <br /> COMMENDING THE ST. JOSEPH HIGH <br /> SCHOOL GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM <br /> FOR WINNING THE 2005 3-A INDIANA <br /> STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br />Whereas, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is proud to <br />recognize that theST. JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM won <br />the 2005 3-A Indiana State Championship on Saturday, March 5, 2005, when they beat <br />Corydon Central, in the Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana, by a score of 70 to <br />st <br />57, giving the St. Joe Indians their 1 girls state title in the school’s history; and <br />th <br />Whereas, the Council notes that the 24-10 4 quarter run by the Indians set a <br />record in team scoring for that quarter and catapulted the St. Joseph Girl’s Basketball <br />1 <br /> <br />
