0 Exhibit "A" <br />South Bend Animal Shelter Project <br />Project: South Bend Animal Shelter Project <br />Project Description: Remodeling of the building located at 521 Eclipse Place to <br />become the new state of the art animal shelter for South Bend Animal Care and <br />Control. The remodeling will be done according to design and specifications <br />done by Grinsfelder Associates Architects of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, complementing <br />the surrounding park land (Kennedy Park). <br />Scope of Work: The Board of Public Works, acting on behalf of the <br />Redevelopment Commission per the proposed Agency Agreement, will adapt the <br />Grinsfelder design, bid the project per applicable statutes, award the project, and <br />monitor construction activities. The Board of Public Works will consult with the <br />South Bend Park Board, as owner, and Catherine Toppel (Director of Code <br />Enforcement), as operator of the new facility and Dave Relos (representative of <br />the Redevelopment Commission) for approval of bidding specifications and <br />change orders. <br />Budget: Project is not to exceed $1,500,000.00 in cost. <br />Source of Funds: Airport Economic Development Area Tax Increment Finance <br />District. <br />Timeline: Completion Date of the Project will be contingent upon various <br />approvals from area agencies. <br />• <br />
