REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 2006 <br />Councilmember Kelly, Chairperson Community and Economic Development Committee, <br />reported that this committee held a Public Hearing on this bill this afternoon and voted to <br />send it to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />th <br />Ms. Beth Leonard, Department of Community & Economic Development, 12 Floor, <br />County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. <br />Ms. Leonard advised that this bill transfers Community Development Block grant funds <br />as part of the 2007 Action Plan of 2005 – 2009 Housing & Community Development <br />Block Grant Funds as part of the 2007 Action Plan of the 2005 – 2009 Housing & <br />Community Development Plan. Ms Leonard further noted that the proposed allocation of <br />funds, was made public September 30, 2006 for a 30-day public comment period. The <br />plan was also the subject of 2 public hearings on October 12, 2006. This bill is a <br />companion to the CDBG General Appropriation bill. <br />This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this bill, Councilmember Dieter made a motion for favorable <br />recommendation to full Council concerning this bill.
