(1) Users shall rovide wastewater treatment as necessary to <br />comply with this Division and shall achieve compliance with all <br />cakMofical Pretreatment <br />Prohibitions set out in Section 17-8(c) of oval Local.-Limits. and the <br />Stand <br />P this Division within the <br />time limitations <br />EPA, the _ o�rrector <br />whichever morestrrn en Any facilities necessary for <br />compliance shall be provided, operated and maintained at the <br />User's expense. Detailed plans describing su -h facilities and <br />operating procedures shall be submitted to the Board or its <br />designee for review, and no construction of such facilities shall be <br />commenced until the user is notified in writing that the elans are <br />acceptable. The review of such plans and operating procedures <br />shall in no way relieve the User- from the responsibility of <br />�,., sa►y to produce a discharge <br />Modifyin such facilities as neces <br />acceptable fo the City under the provisions of this Division. All <br />fa.. cilities necessary for compliance shall be subject to periodic <br />insjoection bv the Citv to determine that such facilities are being <br />_operated in conformity_ with applicable Federal, State and local <br />law. The owner shall maintain o grating records of the influent <br />and effluent to show the Performance of the treatment facilities <br />and for comparison against Citv monitoring records. <br />4. Sec 17 -10 (a) (2) — Page 29, Whenever deemed necessary the Director may <br />require Users to restrict their discharge durinV,peak flow periods, designate that <br />certain wastewater be discharged only into specific sewers, relocate and/or <br />consolidate points of discharge separate sewage _wastestreams from industrial <br />waststreams and such other conditions as may be necessary to protect the POTW <br />and determine the User's com fiance with the requirements of this Division. <br />This new requirement is a concern because it may require a suspension of <br />operations during peak flow periods and significant modifications to our <br />facilities. <br />The following revision has been made: <br />Whenever, <br />di6Ghame�uNRQ --peak flow <br />deemed necessary, the Director may require Users to _ <br />discharged _only inta specific designate that certain wastewater be <br />Sec 17 -10 (a) (3) --- Page 30, The Director ma -reQuire.any person discharging <br />into the POTW to install and maintain on their property and at their expense, a <br />suitable storage and flow- control facility to ensure equalization of flow.
