REGULAR MEETING MARCH 13, 2006 <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />A. PUBLIC PORTION <br />There was no one present wishing to speak to the Council tonight. <br />B. UPDATE FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS WHO WERE ASSIGNED A TOPIC <br /> FROM THE PRIOR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Councilmember Charlotte D. Pfeifer thanked the Mayor, Commissioners, City Clerk, <br />County Clerk, Councilmember’s Kirsits, White, President Rouse and Nikki Hutchinson, <br />stth <br />with the 21 Century Scholars and everyone else who participated in the 4 Annual Civic <br />st <br />Day. There were 40 young people, who pledged to be 21 Century Scholars and continue <br />to maintain good grades and behavior throughout middle school and high school. They <br />participated in a mock passing of an ordinance and toured the County-City Building and <br />Court House. Councilmember Pfeifer stated these young people are going to be the <br />st <br />future of South Bend and the 21 Century Scholar Program is an excellent example for <br />them to become involved in government participation. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, President Rouse adjourned <br />the meeting at 8:01 p.m. <br />ATTEST: ATTEST: <br />____________________________ ____________________________ <br />John Voorde, City Clerk Timothy A.
