Other Accomplishments <br /> • Through a $700,000 Build Indiana Fund (BIF) grant received by Transpo, <br /> improvements will be made to the S. Main and S. Michigan railroad viaducts at <br /> Bronson Street. This work includes sandblasting and cleaning of concrete, <br /> painting of bridge structure, and the installation of decorative grillwork and <br /> improved lighting for pedestrians and motorists underneath the bridges. The <br /> embankments approaching the bridges also will be landscaped. <br /> • Four former adult business sites were acquired and cleared for redevelopment, <br /> and they are now marketed for sale by the South Bend Redevelopment <br /> Commission. <br />
