<br />  			The   3oard  received  a  letter  from  Chief  Ingrar�l,  advising  that  afficer	,
<br />       	Kenneth  J�riea  Trevey  has  ccmpleted  his  nine  months  probationary  period      	'
<br />       	in  a  satisfactory manner,  and  that  he  recommends  that  his  appointment
<br />       	be  r,:ade  permanent.
<br />      		.   It  is  novr moved,  seconded  and  unanimously  carried  that  the  appoint-  	'�
<br />       -       ment  of  �tenneth  James  Trevey  be  made  permanent  and  that  he  be  paid  on  a
<br />       	basis  of  �170.00  per month,  same  being  the  salary  of  first  class  patrol-
<br />       	men,  as  of  August  12,  1941.
<br />  			Sergeant  Ellsworth  Butz  was  granted  permission  to  attend  the  regular
<br />		long  sessien  of  the  traffic  training  course  at  Northtivestern  University
<br />		1941  and  1942,  on  an  alternate  fellotivship  or  a  tuition  schoralship.

<br />  			Clarence  P:icGill,  having  been  sent  to  a  physician  for  an  examina�ion
<br />		and  the  Fh�rsician  havino  reported  that  said  Clarence  i��FcGill  vTas  unfit
<br />		for  active  duty  on  the  Fire  Department  in  the  City  of  South  Bend,  he  was
<br />		then  placed  on  pension,  effective  September  l,  1941.
