South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —April 12, 2011 <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Contract for <br />Purchase and Sale with Oliver Plow Partners, <br />L.P. for Lot #8 in the Oliver Industrial Park <br />(ABC Supply) <br />(9) Resolution No. 2862 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (921 N. Bendix Drive) <br />Mr. Sikora noted that 921 N Bendix Drive <br />was added to the Airport Economic <br />Development Area Acquisition List by <br />Resolution No. 2736 on August 27, 2010. It <br />was added to help promote overall <br />development within LaSalle Square, in <br />accordance with the LaSalle Square Area <br />Redevelopment Plan, and may be the site of a <br />proposed senior housing project. <br />As outlined in the attached map, the <br />approximately 1.97 acre portion of the <br />property is vacant land currently owned by <br />Faith Apostolic Temple, Inc. bordering the <br />LaSalle branch of the St. Joseph County <br />Public Library to the east, Ardmore to the <br />South, and the Faith Apostolic Temple <br />building and parking lot to the north. <br />Resolution No. 2862 sets the acquisition <br />value of the property at $69,500.
