The Fire Chief filed hia report for the ' <br /> month of September, 1939. <br /> ' Chief DeVleeschov�er reported that Curtis Turnock was intending to have <br /> an operation for a hernia, vrhich in�ury he claims to have been caused - � <br /> «hile on dut�. No action on the matter was ta�:en by the Board. <br /> Chief DeVleeschcwer reoluested that the Board raembers be present at a <br /> meeting to be held in his office on Thursday, Octaber 5, 1939, at 2:00 P.i�T. <br /> to discuss a resolution presenttld to the Board of Public ��orks and Safety <br /> and the Chief of the Fire yepartment in connection with t he co��rectness of <br /> fire losses. This resolution was presented by the Association of Commerce, <br /> and its fire prevention co�mittee. Those in attendance at the meeting are <br /> to be members of several of the adjusting ccr.lpanies, several members of the <br /> Association of Commerce and members of the Board and the Chief of the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> Application for a pasition on t he Fire Department �as received from <br /> the following person and �vas ordered placed on file :- <br /> George Rozow Age 28 2033 S. I,afayette Blvd. <br /> PQLICE DEtAR'I'�fiEPdT: Chief Ingraui was present and matters pertaining to his <br /> departr+ent tivere iscussed. Resignation of Officer Axel B.
