All members were present. r,�inutes of the <br /> ' previous ,meeting were--read and approved. Claims of the follosving suppliers <br /> in the amount of �93.64 were approved and ordered paid: _ <br /> Good�ear Service �35.38 National Brake Service,Inc. �21.00 <br /> Scherman.-Schaus-�'reeman Co. 3.32 ,Office Suppl� & Equip.Co. 4.23 <br /> Goodyear Service 1�3.83 Frank S. An�ezas 3.70 <br /> Franl� S. Andreti�s 7.18 <br /> FIBE DEPARIL?E�tT: <br /> �Chief DeVleesc�o�rer was present and matters pertaining to his De- <br /> part�ent vlere discussed. The Chief requested permission for Firsraan -_ <br /> Frank Lo�an to or�anize a Junior Fire Figh�ers Association. The Board <br /> suggested �hat if the School Board approved, i£ z�rould be per�issable� <br /> and suggested that the matter be discussed with the Superintendent of <br /> Schools. ; <br /> �The South Bend Firements Association sent a request to the Bbard <br /> to meet �rith the Board on T�.2ay 22 for the purpose of going over proposed <br /> contracts for clothing. The Chief t�vas instructed to inform the com- <br /> r:�.it�ee that the Board �vould meet with ther,l at 11:00 A.T�I. on P�:ay 22. <br /> ►YEIGHTS �c Iti�EASURES: <br /> � Charles Burns was present and filed his report for the taeek ending <br /> Iuay 13, 1939. T:Zr. Burns reported that he had completed the testing of <br /> all heavy duty scales in So�th Bend �rith the State equipment. Fie re- ' <br /> ported that of all the scales teated, only seven were condemned for <br /> repairs; out of this nu�ber four had a minus error, which w as t�orking <br /> against the dealer and three had a plus error, vthich vras ivorking against <br /> the consutner. <br /> P�LICE DEPARTP:'�,TdT: <br /> � Chief Ingra�-n tivas present and matters pertaining to his Depast�ent <br /> were diseussed. <br /> ; <br /> ✓ Continuation Certificates covering special police bonds of Donald <br /> C. Ehresman and Edvrard J.
