Trost , Jr. , informed the noard that Chief Kuespert, ' ?Tichael Barany, clerk of the Board, and himself made inspec- i tion of the life-saving motor boat at Zeeper Park and recomrnend- ed the Board to have the boat painted and overhauled in the I� 5pring instead o�' at this time. � The Board deferred tllis matter until Spring. i � I Chief I;uespert reported th�t t�;ro motorcgcles, in his department, � need paintir� and overhauling before they can be put into service. The Board instructed Chief Kuespert and I:ichael Barany, ; clerk of' the Board, to have the se machine s put in condition, immediatel,y, for utility purposes. Chief Kuespert informed the Board that the series of thefts in South Bend ��rere praetically cleared and those vrho committed the crimes are noz;r confined in the ci ty jail.
