After review, Mr. Bill Schalliol, Community and Economic Development, <br /> presented a bid tab to the Board and a recommendation that the award of the base bid and <br /> Alternate No. 2 go to Larson-Danielson Construction, in the amount of $2,672,900, the lowest <br /> responsive and responsible bidder. Mr. Schalliol noted that this award will leave under $56,104 <br /> in the budget for any discrepancies in the project. Ms. Greene questioned whether the Board <br /> should review the information and award the bid on Monday at the regular meeting. The Board <br /> concurred that the award should be added to Monday's agenda, after review of the bid tabulation <br /> and the calculations. Mr. Gilot noted it needed to be determined if they were comfortable with <br /> awarding the bid with such a small amount left to cover any unexpected problems. <br /> OPENING OF BIDS — EAST BANK STORM SEWER PHASE I — PROJECT NO, 109-070 <br /> 2010 SEWER BOND <br /> This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project, <br /> The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br /> County News, which were found to be sufficient.
