Mr. Gilot stated that in these cases, the Board contacts and allows the contractor to <br /> show proof of purchase of a bid bond or check. before 9:30 a.m. of the bid opening date. He <br /> noted they can fax a receipt or the actual check or bond by the end of today. Ms. Greene stated <br /> that some of the bidders bid on one item, some on others; each is distinct. She suggested the <br /> Board accept the bids subject to final confirmation of all required documentation. Mr. Gilot <br /> questioned those present if anyone would like the bids read aloud or would they accept a bid <br /> tabulation sheet emailed to them, after review and tabulation of all of the bids. Nobody present <br /> requested the bids be read aloud. Mr. Gilot noted there were sixteen (16) bidders, two of whom <br /> submitted a "no bid" letter, so that would leave fourteen (14) bids to be tabulated and posted to <br /> the City website and made available to anyone leaving a business card. Mr. Littrell noted that <br /> Solvay Fluoride and Kemira, Inc. sent a letter of "no bid" but requested to receive future <br /> notification of chemical bids. Ms. Greene stated the name of each bidder has been read into the <br /> record by Mr. Gilot. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the <br /> above bids were referred to Water Works and Wastewater for tabulation and recommendation. <br /> OPENING OF BIDS — CENTURY CENTER BANQUET CHAIRS UPGRADE CENTURY <br /> CENTER CAPITAL) <br /> This was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced <br /> furniture. Mr. Inks made a motion that all bids be rejected and the Board approves the re- <br /> advertisement for bids, upon further review of the specifications. Mr. Littrell seconded the <br /> motion, which carried. Mr. Gilot noted there was a lot of questions and concerns with the way <br /> the specifications were written.
