REGULAR MEETING MARCH 28 2011 100 Toro Grounds Master 3100 1994 Sidewinder, Serial #90251 F ($500.00) Mr. Littrell noted that Kenney Machinery submitted the bids for the mowers and the aerators in the same envelope. He stated he would set the aerator bid aside and read it when that bid was opened. Ms. Greene noted that Reinders did not submit a bid bond with their bid. She stated they would need to be contacted to forward by the end of today, proof of purchase of a bid bond or check before 9:30 a.m. today. Ms. Greene also noted that Kenney Machinery submitted one bid bond that stated "10% of Total Bid", for all of the equipment they bid on. Mr. Littrell stated Kenney's one bid was difficult to read. He could not determine if it was $61,504.00 or $61,504.07. Ms. Greene stated she believed it was $61,504.00, but .07 should not make a difference. Ms. Greene noted the bigger question was if that was the unit price, or total for two units. She noted the way the bid was filled in, it read as a unit price of$61,504.00. Ms. Greene stated the other bid from Kenney Machinery had a unit price and a hand-written total, but this one only had a unit price. She stated they would need to be contacted to clarify if their bid is unit price or total. Ms. Greene added that the specs are very clear that this is to be a unit price. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred to Blackthorn for review and recommendation. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News, which were found to be sufficient.
