8 p&.1 Ready for Review!
June 5 - July 7
The next draft of South Bend's City Plan will be available for public review June 5 - July 7,2006. This document is a
significant community achievement. The planning process, which began in the fall of 2003, included public meetings where
thousands of community residents and participants expressed their vision for South Bend's future. As a result of those
discussions, we now have a madmap to guide us toward achieving that vision. The City Plan Civic Alliance, appointed to
oversee the public process, was a significant contributor to this process. City Plan is South Bend's first official
comprehensive plan in over forty years, and will guide decision-making on the City's growth and development for the next
twenty years.
