This month, I want to highlight Leaf Pickup <br /> one of those projects that will be a cornerstone for South Bend's economic <br /> future. • • . • • . • • . • • . • • . • • . • . . • . <br /> Innovation Park will provide research facilities south of the University of <br /> Notre Dame,between Edison Rd. and South Bend Ave. The Park will continue III <br /> our transition from a post-industrial economy to a thriving regional innovation <br /> economy. Along with Metronet, it will be a key tool in attracting and retaining <br /> new innovation-based businesses. It will be a catalyst that moves theoretical <br /> research into the commercial marketplace. This is possible because of a collabo- <br /> rative effort with public and private sectors,regional colleges and universities, <br /> that will engage students and faculty in hands-on research and development. .
