FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> Scott Severns Memorial Fund Receives Generous Donation <br /> Mishawaka,IN - Rick Singleton, CEO and Publisher of Imagination Publications LLC, <br /> will submit a donation to the Scott Severns Memorial Fund this Thursday, October 26ffi at <br /> the company's headquarters in downtown Mishawaka. <br /> According to Singleton, money for the donation was raised through sponsorship of a <br /> special commemorative issue of the Executive Journal Magazine. An entire issue was <br /> devoted to Cpl. Scott Severns, a South Bend Police Officer who lost his life during a <br /> failed robbery attempt. An Executive Journal photo documentary displayed in striking <br /> detail the funeral and burial services conducted for the fallen officer. The issue also <br /> included family pictures of Severns growing up in Michiana as well as recollections of <br /> the former"Officer of the Year,"provided by his family, fellow policemen and the South <br /> Bend Police Chief. The Scott Severns commemorative issue was one of the most <br /> requested editions in the magazine's history. <br /> Presentation of the donation to a representative of the memorial fund will be held at 2:30 <br /> p.m. Thursday October 26th in the offices of Imagination Publications LLC,located <br /> at 201 North Main Street,Mishawaka. Those expected to be in attendance will be: <br /> South Bend Mayor Steve Luecke, South Bend Police Chief Tom Fautz, Scott Severns' <br /> Mother Kathy Karczewski, Scott's father Dennis Severns and stepmother Jeannie, as well <br /> as representatives of the unit Scott served in, other members of the police department, <br /> family and friends. <br /> The Scott Severns Memorial Fund is dedicated to the founding of a Law Enforcement <br /> Memorial and Burial Section at the Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. The intention of <br /> this area will be to serve as a final resting place for any active or retired law enforcement <br /> officer from the area jurisdictions who wishes to be laid to rest on grounds dedicated to <br /> their profession. <br /> On hand will be individuals who can give a full explanation of the Severns family wishes <br /> in this endeavor. <br /> For more information on the presentation itself please call Kathy Mull from Imagination <br /> Publication, at 574-259-5555. <br /> Captain Phil Trent <br /> South Bend Police Department <br /> 574-235-5564 <br />
