The parade is scheduled to begin at 8:15 AM at the corner of <br /> Ford and Olive Streets and will then proceed west on Ford Street ending at Summit <br /> Drive. The Reviewing Stand will be located in front of Navarre Intermediate Center. <br /> The theme for this year's parade is "Then,Now &Forever". According to this <br /> year's parade marshal Sgt. Michael Critchlow of the South Bend Police Department, `eve <br /> are pleased to announce that there are 95 units participating this year compared to 72 last <br /> year. The participating units represent the rich cultural diversity of our community." <br /> Wayne Zakrewski, chairman of the event,noted, "there has been excellent participation <br /> by volunteers serving on committees and working hard along with our American Legion <br /> Post 357, in an effort to make this parade a memorable event. Everyone is excited!" <br /> "The annual Westside Memorial Day parade has been a part of our history and a <br /> source of Hometown Pride for many years", stated Mayor Luecke. "To be able to <br /> continue this parade and to honor all of those who serve and have served our country and <br /> our community is a tribute to the residents of this City. Thanks to everyone who joined <br /> in to ensure that this event continues." <br />
