The next session is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 26ffi, from 6—8:00 <br /> p.m. Applications for the 10 week course are due no later than Friday, January 2e, and <br /> registration is free. <br /> The South Bend Local Government Academy provides community members the <br /> opportunity to explore a different aspect of City Government each week, gaining a unique <br /> perspective on a 21st Century City in action, from Annexation to the Potawatomi Zoo. <br /> The sessions are held on Thursday evenings for 10 weeks and will take <br /> participants inside City Departments where they will be able to view operations, learn <br /> about policies and procedures, review budgets, and discuss the opportunities and <br /> challenges facing local government today. <br /> Academy class size is limited to 25. Registration is open until January 2e or <br /> until the class is full.
