Luecke, Mayor <br /> RELEASE FROM: FOR RELEASE: <br /> OFFICE OF MAYOR LUECKE MONDAY, JANUARY 31, 2005 <br /> Security Continues to be Offered in Downtown Garages <br /> The City of South Bend would like to remind community members that safe and convenient parking is available <br /> in downtown parking facilities including the Main & Colfax and Wayne Street Garages and the Leighton Plaza <br /> Garage. Evening hours of security are provided on the weekends to serve the many patrons visiting downtown <br /> to enjoy arts and cultural venues, shopping, dining and special events. <br /> Ampco daytime personnel conduct rounds in each of the garages during normal business hours, Monday <br /> through Friday. Additional evening hours of security are provided at the Main & Colfax and Wayne Street <br /> Garages on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to Midnight and on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM. A <br /> security supervisor is based at Leighton Plaza Garage Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Security is also <br /> scheduled in cases of special events. <br /> Security personnel, provided by Ampco System Parking, are readily accessible at the garage entrances to <br /> assist patrons by escorting them to their cars, answering questions or providing directions.
