Speakers
were selected to educate the community on planning principles and encourage dialogue about issues facing
the city. A marketing strategy was formulated and implemented. Attendance ranged from approximately 120
to over 250 per speaker.
The Indiana Planning Association award was given based on six criteria, Originality/Innovation,
Transferability, Quality, Comprehensiveness, Public Participation/Collaboration, and Effectiveness/Support.
City Plan staff is continuing their efforts to be inclusive and is currently working to organize the final series of
public meetings in June 2005 to develop City Plan.
Contact: Larry Magliozzi, Assistant Director, Community& Economic Development, 235-5550
Back I City Home Page I City Directory I Site Map I Search Go
powered by FreeFind
Created by the City of South Bend Department of Information Technologies.
Copyright©2005 City of South Bend. All rights reserved.
http://www.ci.south-bend.in.us/Press/Releases 2005/051005 CityPlan.htm 1/13/2006
