No. 2863 — Acquisition Offer for a portion of 1033 N Bendix Drive <br />Date: April 12, 2011 <br />This is the staff report for the acquisition of 1033 N Bendix Drive. This property was added <br />to the Airport Economic Development Area Acquisition List by Resolution No. 2450 on June <br />23, 2008. It was added in part to help clean up the north east boundary of — and promote <br />overall development within — LaSalle Square, in accordance with the LaSalle Square Area <br />Redevelopment Plan. <br />The 0.8 acre property contains an approx. 34,000 SF commercial retail building (a former <br />Auto Zone). The building is currently unoccupied and has remained so for several years. <br />Resolution No. 2863 sets the acquisition value of the property at $250,000. The acquisition <br />value is the average value as determined by two independent appraisals. <br />Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 2863, to allow for the acquisition of this property. <br />What We Do Today Makes A Difference! <br />
