No. 2862 - Acquisition Offer for a portion of 921 N Bendix Drive <br />Date: April 12, 2011 <br />This is the staff report for the acquisition of a portion of 921 N Bendix Drive. This property <br />was added to the Airport Economic Development Area Acquisition List by Resolution No. <br />2736 on August 27, 2010. It was added to help promote overall development within LaSalle <br />Square, in accordance with the LaSalle Square Area Redevelopment Plan, and may the <br />site of a proposed senior housing project. <br />As outlined in the attached map, the approx. 1.97 acre portion of the property is vacant land <br />currently owned by Faith Apostolic Temple, Inc. bordering the LaSalle branch of the St. <br />Joseph County Public Library to the east, Ardmore to the South, and the Faith Apostolic <br />Temple building and parking lot to the north. <br />Resolution No. 2862 sets the acquisition value of the property at $69,500. The acquisition <br />value is the average value as determined by two independent appraisals. <br />Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 2862, to allow for the acquisition of this property. <br />What We Do Today Makes A Difference! <br />
