4 " <br /> #': • <br /> t,' .�.��` <br /> "� COUNCIL RULES and INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY <br /> FEBRUARY 14, 2011 <br /> Council Members Present: David Varner; Tom LaFountain; Derek Dieter;Ann <br /> Puzzello; Oliver Davis, Tim Rouse; Karen White <br /> Others Present: Chuck Leone; Gregg Zientara; Gary Gilot; Don Inks; <br /> Jonathan Burke, Christa Nayder; Michael Divita; Mayor <br /> Stephen Luecke; Bob Mathia <br /> Agenda: Bill No. 75-10-Council Procedures <br /> This bilf would restrict or prohibit the use of electronic devices at City Council meetings and other <br /> meetings of boards and commissioners. <br /> David Varner, Chairperson, Information &Technology Committee read a letter from Council <br /> President Dieter requesting the bill be continued until the next meeting on February 28, 2011. <br /> Before calling for a motion Chairperson Varner asked Council Attorney Kathy Cekanski-Farrand <br /> to explain the reasons for the continuance. She said she was working with the city's legal <br /> department to research what others around the country were doing. <br /> Without questions, Chairperson Varner called for a motion, Councilmember Puzello moved for <br /> continuance. Councilmember Dieter seconded.
