Jordon of Jordon Company appeared before the Board and asked <br />permission to close 1st. alley north of Washington Avenue _between :Lafayette Street <br />and lst. alley east of Lafayette Street, while constructing the Elmer Crockett <br />Office -building at this point. Permission was granted by the Board to Mr. Chas..R. <br />Jordon for Sixty (60) €days. <br />JBids were received and read for garbage wagons. Same was awarded to <br />the lowest bidder, The Winkler -Grimm Corporation, `-or garbage wagon far tAe sum of <br />$268.00. This to be according to spe iationsolrid blued prints submitted to them by. Mr. <br />D.C.Layton, Street Commissioner. <br />Bond and contract for Brick pavement on Division Street from Michigan: <br />Street to lst. alley east of Mi�_higan Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 361. <br />signed by H.N. Barnes, principal and London & Laneashire.Guarantee & Accident Co. <br />as sureties, was approved by the Board. <br />Bond and eontraA for constructing and repairing cement sidewalks, Curbs <br />and for filling and excavating for said sidewalks and curbs, under Improvemnt <br />Resolution too, 366, signed by H.N. Banres as priniipal and London & Lancashire <br />Guarantee &-Accident Company„ as sureties was approved by the Board. <br />The following communication was received and placed on file. <br />To the Board of Publie Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />At the regular meeting of the Common Council held on Monday April 12th. <br />1915, the following motion prevailed: - <br />MOTION BY COUNCILMAN LANG, (Verbal) <br />X move that the Board of Public Works be notified to have all defective <br />street s%gns repainted and repaired and put in proper condition. <br />Yours respectfully, <br />H.
