626 <br />Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.T. All members present. <br />f Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 367 for the Trunk suer on <br />Mich*ga,n Street from LaSalle Avenue to South Btreet, In the City of South Bend <br />Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and remonstvances filed.:. Attonney <br />Elmer Peak appeared before the Board and riled a, remonstrance representing property <br />owners owning or residing Ton property located east of Mid.igan and between Jefferson <br />Street and L. S.&M. S. R. R. in this City. Also remonstrance filed by Mrs,. E..!k. Kna,,�p. <br />The Board after due consideration decided to take the above matter under advisement <br />until Tuesday April 20th.. ,1915 at 7:45 P.M. <br />Deferred hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 357 for the pipe on <br />Cherry Street from Washington Avenue to lst. alley South of Jefferson Blvd,in the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared, but no remonstrance was filed. <br />And the Board being fully advised in the premises, deeides that the benefits to <br />property liable to be assessed for said improvemments are equa.I to the estimated <br />cost of the same,#as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupoh takes final <br />aetion on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things <br />ratified, aDnfirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that not -tees be publtished on the 17th. , day of April, <br />1915 and on the 24t1a. day of Apri1,1915 in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />said. City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said <br />improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 4th. day ofMay,1915. The Board reserves the <br />right to reject any and all bids. <br />Bids were opened for the redeoora:tincr and repainting of walls ano wood- <br />work in Police Station in the City Hall pv€is awarded to Seifert Bros. and read <br />as follows: - <br />Rork done in the Police Station. The Stationwall is to be given 1 coat <br />of glue size, i coat Alasbastine all holes to be ft lled up and put in a good con- <br />dition before any Kalsomine is put on, All voodwork in the station is to 1 coat <br />varnish also the hall side of it-1 cupboard=l -coat stain, 1 coatshellas, 1 coat <br />varnish the hall 5 ft. high, lower part is to be given 1 coat oil paint,upper part <br />1 coat size, 1 coat Alabastine, 2 halls -nd alsoincluding toilets, the iron setps <br />1 coat black -iron paint, the iron gates -and -fenee 1 coat paint. The upper the same <br />as it was before cream ceiling lower part black in bath room, this does include <br />what Mr. Moore had shown us going through and figuring. The sum of $65.00. <br />The above bid being the lowest.of three bids. <br />Street Cormissioner made the following report, regarding defeettv.e walks <br />Jat 811 and S`15 No. Main Street. <br />Board of Works <br />.Gentlmen:- <br />Both of the above parties aJ ree to put new ee::ent walk in very soon. <br />D.
