624 Friday April 9th. 11915. Board met in special session at 5:00 P 0 M. All, zenbers present. Mr. Joseph Eckman appeared before the Board relative to presenting a plat of his property. Permission of,thirty days was granted the*Oliver milled Plow Works to close the First east and west alley north of Dunham Street between Laurel and McPherson Streets, so that'the necessary repairs can be made on retianing wall to coal bin, as per their request of April 7th. 21915 The Board approved of the fallowing and instructed the Clerk' to notify trie Compa,ry of the same. South Bend, Ind. ,April 9,1915. To the 'Honorable Beard of Public Works City of South lend, Indiana Gentlemen: — We hereby''propose to remove sea*all under south 901 arch of North Michigan St Bridge, South 3Bend, Ind. as per the requirements of your Honorable Board and to accept as our consideTation a sum equal to our actual cost of demolition, plus ten percentum. It is, understood that aforesaid cost of demolition shall cover actual payroll, cost of dynamite and caps, cost of sharpening tools, coal f'b r boiler if used in the work, vest of teams used on the work, rental of steam.drill-if same lis used on the work, and all other costsattendantupon the demolition of said sea wall: It is farther understood that we reserve the right to use workmen of our own selection. This proposal is made with the requirement that same shall be accepted by your Honorable -Board in writthg on or before 5:Oa P*M. on Saturday, the lotho day of April,19150 Otherwise this proposal shall be con.Sidered void. ° Respectfully submitted.
