Tuesday Api116th.,1915. Board met -in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. Mr. H.F.Lang of the Common Council appeared before the Board and took up the matter of. oil certain streets in the City this year:,, The Board took the above matter u nder_ advisement. Mr. Seifert, Councilman appeared before the. Board and filed a petition ,or a light on Miner Street .at- corner. of Walsh Street., The Board ordered the same placed on file, „aad advised, Mr ;..Seifert that ,they would look this corner over vtien, on. there trip to investigate the placing of lights.-, Deferred: hearing had on Division Street from Olive Street to Meade Street Under Improvement Resolution No. 358. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter Attorney H. A.Wair.appeared in the interest of the Singer Mfg. Company acid remonstrated. The Board decided to defer all action on the same until Tuesday April 20th.,1915 at 7:45 P.M. Petition for grade, -curb and •.aalk on Lafayette Street from Broadway to /India:na Avenue placed on file until 1ste meeting in Angust,1915. Contract for the pipe sewer on Fellows Street from Dubail Avenue to the lst. alley North of Dubail Avenue was awarded to L.H.Webster. o Contract for pavement on Division Street from Michigan Street to lst. f alley east was awarded to H.N.Barnes. Contract for curb and walks on Various Streets in the City was awarded to H. N. Ba me s . Contract for grade,curbe and walk on Donald Street from Michigan Street to J Main Street, was awarded to H.L.Davis. Engineer reported on complaint of defective asphalt pavement on 111 Peimsylvania Avenue, and the Board ordered that Rankert & Eggleston be notified to make the, necessary repairs. City Civil Engineer filed the follovdng estimated costs. Pavement on' the alley .east of St.Joseph Street from Wayne Street to the First alley south of Wayne Street at ........................$616.00 Pipe sever on. Fellows Street from Dubail Avenue to the First alley south of,Dubail Avenue at $270.00 Bond of Contractor for the sum of One Thousand Dollars-($1,000.00) signed by DePeape & Coussens as principal and United. States Fidelity and Guranty Co. ✓ Company of Baltimore,Md.. as sureties was approved by the Board. Excavation Bond for the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00)Dollars signed by ✓DePeape & Coussens as principal and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Mde was approved by the Board. Deferred hearing had on roll of awarded of damages and assessment of benefits on the Widening of Terrace Avenue from Woodward Avenue to Porta ge Avenue. ✓In the aBove matter the Board deferred all action until April 20th. 11915 at 7:45 P.M. City Civil Engineer reported on complaint of fence which was across ,alley at rear of Lots 15 K7 in Witherill's Addition* The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Mr.Jerry Moore to place fence where engineer plaeed stakes.
