Tuesday,, December 15th.71914. <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. <br />The following communication was received from the Common Coumcil, read and <br />placed on file. <br />To the Board of Public Works. <br />of the City of South Bend,Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />At the regular meeting of the Common Council held Monday December 14th. <br />1914 the following motion prevailes3.' <br />MOTION BY COUNCILMAN TROMPSON, (Verbal) <br />I move that the City Clerk be instructed <br />� c d to regest the Board of Public <br />Works to take up the matter of constructing a sewer on Michigan Street from Division <br />Street to La Salle Avenue. <br />Yours respectfully, <br />H.FF ROSTISER' <br />South Bent, Ind. Dec. 15,1914. City Clerk. <br />/ Petition received read and placed. on file for electric lilt on the <br />corner o- Fox Street and Ewing and Carroll Street. <br />( Application for the setting of a billboard on Foots 11 & 12 Bowman Add. <br />J on South Michigan Street, was ajproved by the Board. <br />Communication and Petition received from residents ' on ,East Bowman St -eet <br />1 and vicinity, asking to have the SOtth Michigan Street Cars stop at East Bowman St. <br />The same was referred to the Common Council. <br />Chief Kerr and B. F. Augusting President of the Safety Board was <br />present before the Board at the Board's request, and the matter of enforcing <br />Ordinance No. 1565 for cleaning ice and snow off sidewalks in the fire limits district <br />in this City was discussed. Chief Kerr agreed to have officers notify property <br />owners to comply with said Ordinance. The Clerk was instructed to have a map drawn <br />shoring the fire limits district for Chief Kerr for his use in enforcing the Ordinance <br />Petition filed with the Board for the vacation of alley running Urest <br />from the west line of South Main Street to the alley running north sand south on the <br />east line of the Vandalia Railroad Company's right of way in Stover and Witwer's <br />Addition. <br />The Board unanimously decided to set the assessment roll of awards <br />of damages and assessments of benefits for the vacation of alley in Stover & Witwer's <br />Addition from west line of south Main Street to the alley running north and south <br />of the east line of the Vandalia R. R. CO's right of way under Vacation Resolution <br />No. 132_filed on;Fvlay :T h.,1912 for a nearing on Tuesday December 22nd.1914 at 7:4 <br />P.1A. The Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. Edwin C. Witwer and Rosa G. Witwer the <br />pally interested property holders of such hearing by letter. <br />j Com munication received from the Lang Broom Company. Same read and <br />,J referred to the Street Commissioner. <br />Petition received, read and placed on file for an electric light <br />at the corner of Johnson and Vassar Avenue. <br />r�- P <br />President. <br />
