C7 Resolution No. 2127 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "City ") is the owner of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana: The North half (%2) of Lot Numbered Two Hundred Forty Two (242) as shown on the Recorded Plat of Samuel L. Cottrell's Addition to the Town of Lowell, now within and a part of the City of South Bend. More commonly known as 112 South St. Louis, South Bend (collectively hereinafter referred to as the Real Property); and WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 9 -6 -3, the Board ofPublic Works of the City of South Bend (the "Board ") has custody of and may maintain all real property of the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the City, through the Board, desires to transfer the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment for use in the redevelopment of the South Bend Central Development Area; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, acting by and through its governing body, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission desires to acquire the Real Property from the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, the City, acting by and through the Board, and the Commission may exchange or transfer property with another governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, at its meeting of February 14, 2005 will consider its Resolution No. 10 -a0c> ,approving the transfer of the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: I .
