ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $1,500,000.00 FROM STATE GRANT FUND(#210) AS THE <br /> OPERATING ENDOWMENT FOR THE RAY AND JOAN KROC CENTER <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> On June 28, 2010, the Common Council adopted Ordinance 10016-10, appropriating <br /> $2,000,000 in State of Indiana Grant pass through funds for the operating endowment for the Ray and <br /> Joan Kroc Center to be constructed at Western and Chapin Streets in the City of South Bend. The <br /> State of Indiana grant funds were defined to be awarded for the project in four(4)payment tranches of <br /> $500,000, the first in July of 2010, with the remaining three(3) in fiscal 2011. <br /> This Ordinance, will appropriate, the remaining $1,500,000, of the State of Indiana Grant funds <br /> to the Kroc Center project, for receipt from the State of Indiana, and pass through to the Salvation <br /> Army, during fiscal 2011. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. The sum of $1,500,000.00 is hereby appropriated from State Grant Fund (Fund <br /> #210) for the operating endowment at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center to be constructed at Western and <br /> Chapin Streets in South Bend. <br /> Section 11.
