"M Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. ✓ Hearing had on improvement resolietion_NO- 337 for the pavement of Diamond Avenue from Michigan Avenue to No. line of Cushing's Fifth Addition. In the City pf South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared, but no further remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer all action on said improvement until Tuesday March 9th.,1.914 at 7:45 P.M. Notices to be sent out in time for hearing.) Deferred hearing given on Pavement on Blaine Avenue from La Porte Avenue to Van Buren Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 336. In the City of south Bend, Indiana. In the above matter remonstrators appeared, and a further remonstrance also a petition was filed. The Board decided to deferr their decision on said improvement until Friday August 29th.,1914 at 10:00 A.M.(The City Civil Engineer having been instructed to check up resident. property holders on petition and remonstrances. and report at this time. Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 339. for a pipe sewer on ✓ Lafayette Street and Marion Street from a point 100 ft. No,. of the North line of Navarre Street to a point 100 ft. w. of the w . line of Lafayette Street. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared, but no written remonstrance was filed. The Board leaving said matter under advisement decided that said resolution should be and the same is hereby and in all things rescinded. Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 34 for the purpose of ✓ appropriating a strip of land ,for the widening of Terrace Avenue from Portage Avenue to Woodward Avenue. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. , , In the above matter remonstrators appeared but no remonstrance was filed. The Board decided to defer all action on said resolution until Tuesday September lst.91914 at 7:45 P.M. Hearing had on 'improvement Resolution No. 339. for the resurfacing of Marion Street from west line of St. Joseph Street to E. line of lot 5 Hammond & Waitcomb Addition. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstran ee was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on sated resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 27th., day of August,1914 and on the 3rd., day of Septeinber,1914 in a newspaper of general circu— lation in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of sa said improvements, tip to 10:00 A.M. on the 15th., day of September,1914.a The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Deferred hearing given on Assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on Iroquois Street and alley north of North Shore Drive, under improve— ment Resolution No. 239. In the City of South Bend., Indiana. Remonstrators appeared and made an oral remonstrance against their assessments for said sewer. The Board decided to defer all action until Tuesday September lst.,1914 at 10:00 A.M. ^ Deferred hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on Parkovash Avenue from Iroquois Street to Lafayette Street, under Improvement resolution No. 259.
