South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Regular Meeting—February 22, 2010 <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br /> E. South Bend Central Development Area <br /> (1) continued... <br /> retention initiatives. The total amount of the <br /> contract is $250,000, the same as last year. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE AGREEMENT FOR <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried the SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> Commission approved the agreement for DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT AND DTSB, <br /> INC. <br /> services between the City of South Bend <br /> Department of Redevelopment and DTSB, <br /> Inc. <br /> (2) Amendment to Lease with A Homestead <br /> Shoppe, Inc. (123 S. Michigan St.) <br /> Mr. Inks noted that A Homestead Shoppe, <br /> was one of the pop-up shops during the <br /> holidays that now wants to continue its lease. <br /> Since the agenda was put together, another <br /> shop, Imagine That, has also indicated it <br /> wants to continue. Staff would like to <br /> consider both leases today. Tamara Nicholl- <br /> Smith, has been working with a number of <br /> the pop-up shops to see if there's an <br /> opportunity to keep some of them open. She <br /> has negotiated a 30-day extension of their <br /> current lease. Instead of paying nothing <br /> during the 30 days, they have agreed to pay <br /> utility costs as a way of ramping up to full <br /> costs. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE AMENDMENT TO <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the LEASE WITH A HOMESTEAD SHOPPE,INC., <br /> Commission approved the amendment to EXTENDING ITS LEASE TO MARCH 31,2011 <br /> lease with A Homestead Shoppe, Inc„ <br /> extending its lease to March 31, 2011 <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE AMENDMENT TO <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the LEASE WITH IMAGINE THAT,EXTENDING ITS <br /> LEASE TO MARCH 31,2011 <br /> 8 <br />
