The petitioner <br /> meets the qualifications for five-year <br /> personal property tax abatement under the <br /> tax abatement ordinance. <br /> Mr. Nolan noted that he is a South Bend <br /> resident and his business is Power Brake & <br /> Spring Company on Western Avenue.. GPN <br /> has outgrown centers, the first of which was <br /> in Salt Lake City. Originally they were <br /> looking at Illinois and then at Kentucky, <br /> when it was recommended they look at <br /> South Bend. <br /> Mr. Downes asked what would make them <br /> select South Bend.
