4 4 4( VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 23. 1914. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That tt is desirable to vacate the following Beginning on the north line of Marion Street at a point 35.3 Feet west of the south east corner of. lot 57 Henricks and Grantts Addition and the east line of Lot 7 Burrough's Sib —Division of Bank Out 115 to the north line of said lot 7 South line of short Navarre Street) thence west 10.7 feet; thence south parallel with and 49 feet west of the east line of lot 7 said Burroughts Sub —Division and.lot 57 said Henrickts & Grantts Addition to the north line of Marion Street; thence east 10+.7 feet to the place of beginning. . The above described parcel of land is a strip 1Q.7 feet wide east and west and extends -from Marion Street to Navarre Street and is owned by Mary Elbel and Frank H. & Edith H. Stuckey. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected in the City of South Bend by the vacation as above described is known and described as the ground herein proposed to be vacated therefor and are the lots and lands and parcels of lots lying within the following described. territory in the Ctty of South Bend, to -wit: — Beginning on the north line of Division Street and the First Alley west of Willian Street; thence north along said alley to the north line of Washington Avenue; thence west along the north line of Washington Avenue to Taylor Street; thence north along Taylor Street to La Salle Avenue; thence west along La Safe Avenue to Scott Street; thence north -along Scott -Street to a point 150 feet south of the south line of Michigan Avenue; thence north westerly parallel with and 150 feet south of the south line of Michigan Avenue to the center of Wilber Street; thence north along the center of Wilber Street to the center of Chicago, Indiana & Southern Railway Co. thence northeasterly along the center line of said railway Cots right of way to the westerly bank of the St. Joseph River; southerly meandering with the westerly bank and southerly bank ofcsaid river to a point 66 feet west of the west line of Lafayette Street; thence south parallel and 66 feet west of the west line of Lafayette Street to the north line of Washington Avenue; thence west along the north line of Washington Avenue to the First Alley east of William Street; thence south along the center line of said alley to the north line of Division Street; ,thence west along the north line of Division Street to the First Alley west of William Street which -point is the place of beginning. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 17th•, day of August,1914 and on the 24th., day of August,1914 in the South Bend Darr Tribune. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 15th.2 day of September21914 at 7:45 P.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
