Street <br />from Michigan Street to Main Street. The same was read and referred to the City Civil <br />Engineer for investigation. <br />Petition filed for the opening of an alley between St. Peter Street and Notre <br />JDame Avenue same running north and south from Corby Street to City limits north. The <br />was read and referred to the City Civil Engineer for investigation. <br />Petition for a pipe sewer on Calvert and Kline Street from Vernon Street to <br />Vistula Avenue] was filed with the Board and the same was read and -referred to the <br />City Civil Engineer for a; resolution.. <br />Partial estimate No. 1 for grade, curb and walk on Wilber Street in accordance <br />✓ with contract Was allowed John Sidman, Contractor for the amount of.............$407.50 <br />Bond signed by George M. Urey,City Cemetery Sexton and The Globe Indemnity <br />Compamy of New York for the sum of One Thousand ($4,000.00)Dollars, was approved by the <br />Board. <br />Communication received from Mr. J. P. Creed remonstrating against the pipe <br />✓ sewer on St. Peter and Sorin Street from St. Louis Street to Eddy Street. The same was <br />read and placed on file. <br />Bond and contract for pipe sewer on Talbot Avenue from South Bend Avenue to <br />Howard Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 319, signed by L.H.Webster as prinicpal <br />✓ <br />and The London'& Lancashire Guaranty & Accident Co. of Canada as sureties, was approved <br />by the Board. <br />The following communication was received from the Common Council and referred to the <br />Street Commissioner for investigation. <br />To the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gent leme n: - <br />At the regular meeting of the Common Council held on Monday evening July <br />13th.21914, the following motions prevailed: <br />MOTION BY COUNCILMAN THOMPSON .(Verbal). <br />I movethat the Board of Public Works order sidewalks repaired and put in <br />in a passable condition on West Washington Avenue from Chapel Lane to Circle Avenue( <br />south side of Avenue.) <br />MOTION BY COUNCILMAN WOLTER (Verbal) <br />J I move that the City Clerk notify the Board of Public Works to instruct the <br />George J. Engineer to have frogs and switches removed out of and from Cedar <br />Street so as to conform with the pavement now being put in within Tiirty (30) days. <br />
