• Resolution No. 2146 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") is the owner of a parcel of real property ( "Property ") situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly described at Exhibit A attached hereto and incoiporated herein; and WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14 -19, the Commission may acquire real property pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, the Commission may exchange or transfer property with another governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and WHEREAS, the Authority desires to transfer the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment in order that the Property may be sold and developed and the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, acting by and through its governing body, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission desires to accept transfer of the Property from the Authority; and WHEREAS, the Authority, at its meeting of January 29, 2003, approved its Resolution No. 151, approving the transfer of Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: 1. The transfer of the Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and described on the attached Exhibit A, by the South Bend Redevelopment Authority to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment, shall be, and hereby is, accepted. 2. The Director of Redevelopment for the City of South Bend shall cause the recording of the quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority in and to the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.
