(Record, West) along said South line, <br />324.33 feet more or less to a point on the West line of the East half of the <br />Northeast Quarter of said Section 32; thence N. 00 °- 31' -07" E. along said <br />West line, 20.00 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning. <br />WHEREAS, the public health, safety and welfare would be benefited by the <br />development of the Area in accordance with the provisions of the Redevelopment Act; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has caused to be prepared maps and plats showing <br />the boundaries of the Area, the location of various parcels of property, streets, alleys, and <br />other features affecting the development of the Area and the portions of the Area that are <br />to be devoted to public ways, levees, sewerage, parks, playgrounds, and other public <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, there was presented to the December 2, 2005 public meeting of the <br />Commission for its consideration and approval, a copy of the Economic Development <br />Plan for the Area consisting of _ pages with attachments, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A "; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has, at a meeting open to the public, heard and <br />received evidence, reviewed the maps, plats and surveys as presented and considered <br />same; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 43 of the Redevelopment Act provides that an economic <br />development area may be an allocation area for the purposes of distribution and <br />allocation of property taxes levied on real property within a designated allocation area; <br />and <br />Res2l99—SBRC—Declaratoi-y.051202.doc 2 <br />
