���� <br /> Chief Kuespert was asked to substantiate his charges, r�hich he did <br /> stating that in his mind Officer P��yer was not only guilty of '�Neglect <br /> of Duty" as set forth in the Chief' s complaint and ma.de to him by <br /> Judge A. �FJ. Hosinski , but was al.so guilty o� "Conduct unbecoming an <br /> officer'' in view o� the fact he was warned by the Board, just a <br /> month before when he was fined. Chie� huespert believed Officer 2.�:yer <br /> guilty of insubordination. <br /> Judge Hosinski testified and in his testimony stated he �as not <br /> prejudiced against Officer T;gyer but to the contrary �aas on friendly <br /> terms v�ith him and that it was not his purpose to embarrass or in <br /> any v�ray be responsible for any officer being� discharged or fined, <br /> or in any v�ay reprimanded by th� Board, but in this particular <br /> case felt it his .duty as Judge of the City Court to report the <br /> existing coriditions. Judge Hosinski related his complaint to the <br /> Board stating that• on numerous oceasions ��hen' Officer r,iyer was <br /> ordered �o appear in Court as a State ' s 1�itness and arresting <br /> officer, he vaas late for Court and on several occasions did not <br /> appear at all. <br /> �fter Judge Hosinski completed his testimony Officer Ziyer was <br /> given the ri�ht to state his defense and he admitted the charges, <br /> bu� stated he could not understand tivhy he should be prosicuted for <br /> � the charges. Off icer ��yer vras questioned by I"r. Long and ?:'r. Budd, <br /> i`embers of the Board, and after some deliberation �the Board <br /> announced their. verdict. After hearin; the above testimoniseconded <br /> Board found Officer ��yer guilty and on motion of �Tr. Zong, <br /> by TTr. Gadacz, Officer John C. 2,Zyer v�as dismissed from tY�e Police <br /> Force to be 'effeetive immediately. <br /> On motion of T,�r. G�.dacz, seconded by T�`r.
