EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Services <br />Continue to assist with the planning and implementation of the City's 2018 Bloomberg <br />Mayors Challenge project and other Engagement & Economic Empowerment team <br />projects, including but not limited to attending team meetings and providing input to <br />group discussions. <br />2. Develop partnerships to improve the communication capacity of the City and the <br />engagement of residents living in the City by, among other efforts, coordinating <br />workshops, offering technical assistance and facilitating Engagement & Empowerment <br />team projects with community stakeholders. <br />3. Provide technical assistance in the planning and implementation the qualitative study <br />projects. Including but not limited to: recruitment, organizing, distribution of City <br />marketing material, and management of project interns and volunteers. <br />4. Provide technical assistance in the development of the Youth Build Grant including but <br />not limited to: convening of potential partnering organization, authoring program budgets <br />and scope, initial youth recruitment, and community engagement efforts. <br />5. Provide technical assistance and support in the planning Neighborhood Empowerment <br />fairs included but not limited to: facility leasing, logistical coordination with attending <br />vendors, distribution of materials prior to event, and DCI presence at all related events. <br />6. Provide technical assistance in community engagement, data gathering, and management <br />of neighborhood organization relationships for those existing and forming. Working with <br />the Neighborhood Resource Corporation to build stronger relationship between the City <br />of South Bend and Neighborhood association throughout the city. <br />Consideration <br />Consultant shall work a minimum of 80 hours per month and a maximum of 120 hours per <br />month, reported weekly with sufficient detail of the services provided to the City, no later than <br />the end of business on Friday of each week during the Term. Services are to be provided during <br />the times and on days determined by mutual agreement between the parties. In consideration of <br />the satisfactory services provided by Consultant, as determined in the sole discretion of the City, <br />consultant will be compensated in the amount often thousand dollars ($10,000) for the first <br />month of services rendered and subsequently two thousand one hundred and sixty-six dollars <br />($2166) per month for the remainder of the contract. The total contract amount shall not exceed <br />twenty-three thousand dollars ($23,000). <br />
