Resignition <br />accepted because of a transfer to another department of the city. <br />The appointment of William Downs as Clerk of the Board of Safety <br />by Mayor C. R. Montgomery was approved. The appointment of Cdr. Downes <br />was prop ly filed with the City Clerk previous to the meeting and same <br />had the a proval of the Board. <br />In the absence of President Engeldrum the meeting was presided over <br />by E.E.
