NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS TO PROPOSED LEASE OF OFFICE SPACE <br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend will <br />conduct a public hearing on thel9th day of July, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Meeting Room located <br />at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. The purpose <br />of this hearing is to consider whether the City will enter into a lease providing office space for the <br />City's Human Rights Commission. This lease is for 2,975 square feet of office space located at <br />319 Niles Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, from proposed lessor, MedPro Properties LLC. The <br />lease shall be in effect for a term of five (5) years subject to certain rights of termination by the <br />City, with a basic, initial annual rental of Seven Dollars ($7.00) per square foot plus common area <br />assessment, which basic rental will increase at the rate of three percent (3%) per year for the <br />remaining years of the lease term. The Board of Public Works will consider whether execution of <br />the lease is necessary and whether said rent is fair and reasonable for the proposed space. <br />The proposed lease is open to public inspection in the office of the Department of Public <br />Works, 1316 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana within ten (10) days prior to the public <br />hearing and at the time of the public hearing. <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Board of Public Works. <br />Linda Martin, Clerk <br />To be published one time in the South Bend Tribune and Tri-County News on <br />z <br />July 6, 2018. <br />
